Equal Punishment

Caesar looked at the final stats last night to compare penalties and was happy to see USC and Oregon State each got four. That drew a look of pleasure from his face, as three days of faxing letters to the Pac-10 with complaints about the officiating worked. Hail Caesar!

Given the 1st half 15 yd helmet-to-helmet never happened and the 15 yd pers. foul in the 2nd half never happened, he should still be p'd off.

(1) Maybe Willingham is right, once you start going down the penalty road, as the trojans have, it is hard to reign it in.

(2) The Trojan d-line is held like nobody's business, particularly Ellis, why isnt that ever called? Carrol has a reasonable beef with the officating.

BTW here's a funny tidbit:

I troll the ND board alot to see what they are up to and saying, besides "fuck PC" and "all the USC players are on steroids"

And after they lost to Navy yesterday, they actually shut down the site www.uhnd.com on purpose because of the bitching..ahahahahhha

Hey no apologies needed...I can be a bit too sarcastic sometimes. I am working on that.

The officiating was still poor. There was no helmet to helmet infraction.

There was a hold against Lo-Jack that wasn't called, then they flagged him for a 5-yd face mask. That's a foul!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
