``It’s looking like I’ll be out about two-or-three months,’’ Galippo said. ``It’s looking good for spring.’’

great news...i have high hopes for him-he looked good on special teams this year.

Man, you have to really love to play football if you are itching to get back in there between the lines after a back operation. If I had such an injury and operation, I would drop football and take up badminton.

Great news especially with both Cushing and Rey Rey saying they will be 100% (Today's OCR) back next season. USC will only lose Rivers at linebacker.

SWEET

I'll take both back, but I wouldn't hold my breath for Rey Rey. He is sure to "measure" very well for NFL scouts and I think he'd take the money and run if he had the opportunity.

Cushing and Rey-Rey always have the opportunity to change their mind, depending on what occurs from here until the last day they can declare for the NFL draft. A few great games from now one, especially in a BCS Bowl, or a great showing at the NFL combine or USC pro day, could change their mind. I hope not.

Look what happened to Gabe Pruitt on the basketball team. His stock went sky high after the NCAA tournament, and he turned pro.

oops... should be "from now on"

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
