Apparently we're not the only one to express support for No. 2-ranked West Virginia the past couple years.

Now that I have finally gotten over the fact that SC will not be playing for the natinal championship this year, I am happy and excited for the "second tier" schools, such as West Virginia and Missouri. Spread the wealth around a little, let the little guy have his day too.

As long as W. Virgina doesn't have OJ's aptitude for turnovers they should be fine.
as long as SOS is minimized-2nd tier teams, like WV, that play patsy scheds and are in 3rd tier conferences have a chance.
BCS has no credibility...and unsophisticated poll voters that overrate these teams are part of the reason

In Dec 1991 the 49ers won ten games and did NOT make the play-offs. The Chicago Bears did but they clobbered by the 49ers 52-10. They got healthy too late. I see a similar situation here for the Trojans except for the fact if a play-off system of some kind was in place in CFB the Trojans would kick a lot of rears!
