About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Scott:
First of all, damn difficult to register for your board! It said my name was already registered, would not let me log in with my name, etc., etc. Anyway, I won't bore you with any more details, so as the first person to post a message, here goes...
With Damian Williams now back in action, what advantage does it hold that he and Mitch Mustain have played with each other in the past? Does it come across well in practice? Are they a good and polished duo?
Questions on the police escorts and shutting down the freeway for USC buses
How does this work? How does the city of LA (or other gov't entity) justify shutting down the fwy for the team buses? How does this work in other cities? How much does USC pay for this?
Do you think there are any players on the current roster who may be drafted in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft, or do you think it will be yet another year with no first round picks?
I know you've written that Mitch Mustain throws deep passes, but does he throw them accurately? Can he complete to his target with consistency?
What coaches does USC have that other schools do not have, since we donot have QB or Special Teams Coaches, and why
USC vs Mercer - what happened?

Scott,
Among the players we don't get to see a lot of come game time (ie non-starters and scout-teamers), who has impressed you the most in terms of work ethic, commitment, sheer talent and leadership? I know it's a bit of a vague question, but please don't feel restricted to naming just one person if you feel there’s more than one…thanks!
Will Moore, Mays and Baker play against Arizona St.?
From a layman's perspective, it appears evident that certain substitution personnel are likely to perform specific plays. This should allow a more knowledgable person to take advantage of that information and stack the deck. Is there enough variation in formation and options to allow the offense to be unpredictable or are the Coaches counting on the talent of their players to "bail" them out in this respect?
How do the players and coaches feel about playing on Thanksgiving? Do they view it as a treat (e.g., national TV exposure), or interference with a traditional holiday? Any info is greatly appreciated.
(I know we have already adjusted our normal dining time on Thanksgiving, so that the last pie crumb will be digested before kickoff.)
I couldn't sign on with my old screen name (uscmike), so I added 99 on the end.
What should I expect from JDB this week? If he starts out slowly again will at change be made at QB? This is the biggest game of the season at it is time for him to play a great game AND get some big plays down the field!
Scott:
With the startling revelation that all your proceeds for "Mitch and Me" will be donated to the ``I suffered a hamstring-groin injury at USC'' club, this raises some serious questions:
1) Are you sure that you will be willing to donate the vast proceeds of your masterpiece about our hero Mitch Mustain when it will, undoubtedly, be the reason why you will go from being the Whittier Wiz to becoming the Malibu Maverick?
2) Did Woodward and Bernstein donate the funds of their bestseller?
3) With "Mitch and Me" working on so many level across numerous genres, Pedalgate and Elevatorgate will put the book in the Mysteries section of a bookstore, yet the notions that our hero Mitch Mustain is The Chosen One put it simply in the category of Spirituality, so will all your hard work be for the benefit of others?
4) Will "Mitch and Me" not allow you to retire to Malbu?
So with the inevitability that "Mitch and Me" will be this generation's "Harry Potter," leading to numerous other marketing efforts such as action figures and the obligatory big screen film, will you be dedicating your life to future chapters about our hero Mitch Mustain, who has, once again, come back into the media glare this past week by all these bandwagon jumper reporters. You were the first to realize that our hero Mitch Mustain is The Chosen One and your dedication will be rewarded by those who know. Keep the money, Scott!
Fight On!
Scott,
How many college football games a week do you watch to justify your ballot or do you throw darts?
Congrats! Heard you won another award: http://pollspeak.com/
Scott, do you still enjoy covering USC football, or would you rather be off writing about something else? Your video interview with Pete seemed to indicate that you don't enjoy what you do. You have the dream job of many people out there. How come you don't like it?
