Good Morning Wolfie:

A while back, it was mentioned that the Trojans would go after two of the Texas A&M linemen, because everyone knew their coach would be fired for, apparently, giving inside info to boosters---can you give us any update on how that is proceeding, like, are we having any luck, did we fail, change our minds, anything at all that you can tell us?

Thanks, Scott, for whatever you can say here.

Does Mitch Mustain get to travel with the team to the bowl game, with NCAA transfer rules and all?

I see there are a number of high profile recruits visting usc this weekend...what happens during a typical recruiting visit?

Which of these high profile recruits is likely to commit to sc?

With the emergence of Stefon Johnson, the return of CJ Gable & Marc Tyler, an Incoming Dj Shoemate, combined with the spoon feeding of McKnight.. Does this leave Allen Bradford as the Forgotten man? If YOU were PC how would you work AB into rotation?

What is the hangup the coaching staff has with Ausberry? It appears he does a better job in game situations of blocking and catching the ball then Turner does. Couldn't he play Turner's position?

What do you think of the USC to Rose Bowl situation that just developed this week? The timing of it? Whether it is a serious threat? The fans reaction? Garrett's open letter bashing the Coliseum Commission? http://www.usc.edu/about/coliseum/

Any thoughts on this topic is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the forum, Scott.

SW, have you heard of anyone approaching either Sark, Nick Holt, Ken Norton, Pat Ruel, Rocky Seto or any of the coaches about moving to one of the open programs? Also, how much do you buy in to that slip up by the FUCLA AD, concering Karl "Dork", err Dorrell? Fight On!

I heard Norm Chow might be a candidate for the soon to be open UCLA job. What do you think are the chances and do you think he would be a good fit?

I didn't believe this when I read it, but is it true that Notre Dame will still cash a $1M+ check from the BCS this year? If Notre Dame goes to a non-BCS game, do they get to keep the BCS revenue AND the non-BCS bowl revenue?

I know you like to keep it to one question per week, but hopefully you can make an exception for the next one: Assumptions: USC beats UCLA, Oklahoma beats Missouri, West Virginia beats Pitt, LSU beats Tenn., and VTech beats BC. What will your pre-bowl game Top 10 AP ballot look like?

Scott, I've never attended a practice, and would love to know a little more about the assistant coaches...can you use one or two words to describe their personalities?

- Holt
- Sark
- McNair
- Norton
- Morton
- Ruel
- Watson
- Seto
- Carroll
- Anyone I missed?

Do they really bark at each other....is it primarily Norton vs. McNair?

Scott, What happened to Texas? I thought you said they were a top 4 team?

Can we start giving PC and USC some credit for fighting through injuries to have a chance to play for another Rose Bowl. No other team in the top 10 had to replace 4 starting O-linemen, their best RB and their starting QB in a 3 game span and deal with such criticism for losing some games because of it.

The timing of the possible move to the Rose Bowl next year really bothers me. It smells like another countless blunder by Mr. Mike Garrett. Your thoughts?

Would you say you are a happy person Scott? Do you love your job?

The last two seasons have shown some weaknesses in the USC pprogram - too many injuries, great finishing team but some real flops in the course of the season. Is Caeser the kind of guy who has his approach and will stick with it come hell or high water or does he sit down at the end of every season and try to fine tune his approach.

Do you thnk Mike Williams will stick in Tennessee?

Hey Scott, would you tell us what kind of velocity and zip Mitch Mustain possesses on his throws? And how accurate is he in getting the ball past the DBs to the intended receivers?

Thanks.

Scott,
Is the Coliseum committee really reverting to threatening Pete Carroll about his job? Is this whole debate about getting the Coliseum lease back really coming to this? Last time I checked, Pete Carroll winning games and drawing enormous crowds is what is writing the committee's checks

With the pesky NCAA rules preventing our hero Mitch Mustain from playing down to only one regular season game left before his coronation to the Trojan throne and the ongoing controversy of the Bicycle-Contra affair still looming, this raises some serious questions:

1. With our hero Mitch Mustain being the clear choice among USC's fine student body for 2008, will there be a prelude version of "Mitch and Me" published in January to serve as a precursor to whet everyone's appetites and serve as a primer to educated the masses who simply want more of the soon-to-be king?

2. Is it not true that the real reason the Coliseum Commission is playing hardball with USC due to everyone's desire to rename the stadium to the Mitch Mustain Coliseum, and the issue is simply whether Mitch represents LA or he is to big to be so regionalized? So it would have to be named the National Mitch Mustain Coliseum?

3. Will the statue of Tommy Trojan be replaced with one of our hero Mitch Mustain on a bicycle?

4. Is it a coincidence that the first game of next year is in Virginia, the cradle of the South, where our hero Mitch Mustain will make his debut as the leader of the Trojans? Can there be any more evidence that everyone associated with the program has long known our destiny is with our hero Mitch Mustain and so his first game will be a Southern homecoming?

So with the future known to all, some evil person out there trying to derail our hero Mitch Mustain's bicycle (and, yes, the culprit has quite a reputation among the student body...), is there any more proof needed that the saying for the entire Trojan Family is "Save our hero Mitch Mustain, save the Trojans"? Should this not be on the top of your blog? Solve the Bicycle-Contra affair and the final pieces will have fallen into place.

Fight On!

Any truth to the rumor that the Rose Bowl people actually WANT the Trojans to move to their facility and then have Karl Dorrell take his gutless little bruins with him on the way out of town? The little bruins ("Our academic standards are so high is the reason we just can't compete with the Big Boys") then could move to Pierce College or some Little League field near the Sepulveda Dam. What do you think?

Obviously you don't know much about FB, do you? That is unless you are desperate for attention and decided to ask your innocent question.
Mike Williams' problems:
1. Keyshawn Johnson said best when he referred to his weight problem.
2. Made a huge mistake with his premature NFL exploration, whatever it was it turned out to be a>disaster.
3. TN Titans is his last stop. He better pray that Norm Chow can help him rediscover his catching ability or he'll join the bust family.
Sad but true...

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
