USC's defense is stout, ringing up several sacks and forcing a few turnovers. FUCLA's only score comes on a blocked punt, or kickoff/punt return for TD (take your pick). Running game is solid, and JDB passes for 3 TDs. No tipped passes!

I know he's a bruin, but is anyone else concerned for Pat Cowan's life? I mean, the guy is recovering from a concussion and a collapsed lung. How hard of a hit to the chest does it take to recollapse a lung? Brian Cushing could kill him on the field tomorrow.

UCLA tackles Joe McKnight for a safety after USC goes for it on 4th and 2 at their own 36. And Captain Awesome, the sportsmanship rule I learned as a young Trojan fan was that it was only ok to root for Notre Dame players to be injured or killed in a game. Clean up your act.

You'd think from reading this blog that JDB is the only quarterback in history to have a pass tipped at the line of scrimmage. Tipped passes are part of football. D-linemen throw their arms up and sometimes they get one.

I've been deliberating for a while, and I fear that with UCLA's improved health, the cold weather, and Rose Bowl implications for both teams that UCLA plays their best game of the year and keeps it close at the 1/2. We play sound, smart, great D, and separate in the 2nd hald in a tough, physical, tight game. My heart says blowout, but my brain says tough game.
