So USC is talking to the Rose Bowl about a two-year lease starting next year?
``It's kind of been our second home since we've been here,'' USC coach Pete Carroll said.

I sure hope to God that this is just a negotiating tactic, and that the Coliseum Commission does not call USC's bluff. USC playing home games in the Rose Bowl? The thought disgusts me. To throw all that tradition out the window, and make fans like me drive all the way to Pasadena when I could be walking across the street...

The Coliseum needs to get its act together and give the Trojans even basic repairs, like so the bathrooms don't overflow. The place is starting to look like Mexico, and they couldn't care less. The NFL is not coming to the Coliseum. Deal with it, and at least give USC the upgrades it deserves if you won't let USC take loving care of the stadium.

Even though the drive would be much better for me, the Rose Bowl is an awful place to see a game. Considering parking, getting into the game and lines at halftime for food and bathrooms, it is not even close to the Coliseum in attributes. Then with the tradition and proximity to campus, just say NO to the RB!!!

I was at Cal a couple of weeks ago, and the seats have no backs and the toilets are all portable. There are worse venues than the coliseum.

The seats that have no backs are the crappy seats. The 50 yard line seats where I sit are beautiful and have nice backs. The only portable toilets are the ones on the golf course on your way into the Rose Bowl. Yes the RB needs to be renovated but it is not in the same dismal state of the Coliseum or USC wouldn't be considering playing there. Nice try but the RB IS better than the Coliseum you just don't want to admit it. I have been to the Coliseum many times and it is falling apart and very crappy. I can't say the same about the Rose Bowl. The only thing the Coliseum has right now is your tradition and pride, everything else sucks and the fact that USC desires its change should tell you that much.

Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
