According to the poll Fred Davis leads. The pollsters possibly voted popularly. I like Fred Davis. He is a tremendous athlete. I voted with my brain. You have to have the running game to open the passing game. I voted for Chauncey Washington for that reason.
Thanks

John David Booty...?

That's right, after Booty it has to be a runner, and Washington will get the first crack.

I agree with captain Awesome - why no booty?
Their D-line will be waiting all day for Chauncey and thus the passing game has to come into play.

CPT A:
JDB is ONLY good as the sum of its parts. Let me explain:
1. UCLA won last year by getting in JDB's face. They will do the same again, WHY NOT? It is no big secret that JDB gets rattled fairly easy. UCLA's best coach is their DC. They don't have anything to lose so they are going after JDB with a vengeance with more men on the box. That is NO BIG secret either, in fact expect it. That is WHY you NEED a good running game>FACT. The OL will have to be at its best. UCLA has speed and their secondary is NOT all that bad.
2. If USC plays with a MISSION oriented mind and at the same time NOT taking anything for granted they will beat UCLA that is called respecting your opponent, GOT IT? UCLA, Stanford does that RING any bells? HAH, I got your attention, didn't I? Rest my case, baby!

Clearly the most important player of the game will be JDB. If he plays well, the Trojans win by a ridiculous margin (let's try to top Utah's 44-6 beat-down). If he plays like he did in last year's FUCLA game, the coaches should not hesitate to put in Sanchez. Since it's the last regular season game of his career, I hope for his sake that he plays like he did versus ASU and beats the living crap out of FUCLA like Matty did in his finale.
Fight on!

How about Drew Radovich? Kyle Williams could barely get a hand on UCLA's defensive ends last year and Drew has quietly been putting up an all Pac 10 kind of year at right tackle.

Thank you for reinforcing my point.

The only way Sánchez will be allowed to play is if JDB breaks a leg, an arm or suffers a nasty concussion>That is the way the cookie crumbles. How much playing did he get against AZ ST? Very little and that was practically a blow-out as the 44-24 score indicates. Was it worthy risking JDB to an injury?
Rest my case...

What no defensive players? If Olson starts, I seen a fistful of sacks (think OSU and ASU). I am more fearful of Cowan or Rashaan than Olson.

Having said that, I absolutely agree that Booty is the key to this game, although the OL needs to block and stay calm this year!

The player with the biggest impact in this game will be the play of the QB. JDB will have to prove he can read defenses. Last year the FUCLA QB out played our JDB. IF JDB plays his best game and the FUCLA QB plays his best game, we should win by 50. Hopefully, the OC arms JDB with some audibles to counter RUINS overloading the box, which negates the run. Finally, if JDB spreads the ball around like he did at ASU, and don't stare down his receivers, he should rack up 500+ yrds. And when the RUINS back off into coverage zones, JDB has got to audible for the run and let that BIG OL do their thing. In summary, JDB has to be able read the defense and audible plays of the OC like ML.

I think that it's a total attitude and preparation situation. Last season our kids went into the Rose Bowl with absolutely no respect for the bRUINS. They were just a blip on the way to the National Championship game. We found a team that was ready and aching for us to venture into their crib and we found out that we weren't properly prepared also. The better talent almost prevailed and we nearly pulled that game out..however....we didn't and it cost us dearly..

I believe that the simple fact that we will be hosting a hated opponnent that we actually have respect for will benefit us tremendously. I look for a hard fought home win by a couple of TDs

Watch your language. Secondly my past threads were NOT racists. I simply responded to you and the rest of your cronies/usual suspects. Thirdly you were NOT unlucky rather foolish enough to make two mistakes:
1. READ before you open your big mouth.
2. You're the only that knows about football.
Admit that I beat you at your own game...

I hate to be like Rodney King, but "can't we all just get along?"

I've grown tired of reading the constant snipes and barbs hurled at each other. I wish (for one week at least) that we could all get onboard this common train and go about the business of beating the living heck out of the bRuins. Is that too much to ask?

If a punch is thrown my way I will strike back with two or three. I don't take $#*T from any of these arrogant prejudiced idiots particularly from that damn coward golohead who hides behind a keyboard.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
