Quote For The Day

Here's Coliseum commisision member David Israel in today's Daily News:
``If they’re serious and I hope they’re not – I hope it’s just a petulant threat. Then I’m thinking that Michigan job is looking pretty good for Pete Carroll.’’

Gee, another pearl of wisdom from a member of the prestigious Coliseum Commission, which couldn't run a 50-yard dash, let alone run one of the nation's largest and most historic athletic facilities. They all did a great job on the L.A. Sports Arena now, didn't they? Maybe they can succeed in bringing down the Coliseum now, too. What an epitaph for all their tombstones - "Helped Make Site of 1932 Olympics Crumble and Fall."

David Israel = idiot alert.

From what I have heard the sticking point on negotiations is Bernard Parks. The Coliseum is in his district and he wants to bring an NFL club into the Coliseum.

Smart move dragging Pete into it Israel. You popularity and swing in this city far outweighs his.

These hard-nosed tactics will surely result in unquestioned victory for the Coliseum Commission after all!

Yeah, sure. The only reason Pete is staying at SC is the Coliseum. I always thought members of Coliseum Commission were idiots, now any doubts are removed.
