BCS guru Jerry Palm now projects USC to play in the Rose Bowl against Ohio State.
By the way, the last time USC went to the Rose Bowl without winning the conference was in 1955, when it finished second to PCC-champion UCLA, who was barred from the Rose Bowl by the PCC's no-repeat rule.
