Shutout Pressure

No USC team ranked 13th in the AP poll has ever allowed a point to Oregon State. No. 13 USC teams defeated the Beavers in 1953 (37-0), and 1954 (34-0). Both games were played at the Coliseum.

The Beaver's lowest point total this year is 14, against UCLA, and they are averaging around 27, but they are a bit banged up. A shutout would be great to get things back on track.

I am sure JDB will give them a couple of gift INT's to get some points from, or Stanley "oops I fumbled again" Havili will be up to his old tricks..since the USC offense has zero ability to sustain a drive OSU should be in USC territory all day unless Woidneck knocks off 60 yard punts

Ladies and gentlemen, Thursday's edition of useless facts that teach us nothing.

Brought to you by: the Department of Useless Facts & Trivia (located across campus from the Department of Redundancy Department)

Surehot32:

Of course those are useless facts. That is why they are called trivia.

Some more useless facts:

Oregon State has upset USC teams with AP rankings of No. 1 (1967), No. 3 (2006), No. 6 (1960), and No. 8 (2000).

But no no. 13-AP-ranked Trojan team has ever lost to the Beavers, or, as Scott pointed out, even been scored on.

And one more bit of useless trivia: a Trojan victory would be the program's 750th, dating back to 1888.

66: Was that the year you were turned down for admission by SC???
You sure sound someone carrying a grudge! Lighten up! Smoke some herb...you're more of a downer than H. Clinton in a bikini!
Booty kicks ass, Havili scores twice and the Trojans Lick the Beavers!!!

H. Clinton in a bikini?-- beautiful... And ol '66' gets his kicks by getting a rise out of bloggers, but I worry about his health with all of those negative vibes racing through his body (unless his tirades are all a ruse, which is quite likely)...and sorry to see that "streak" end on Saturday, but I will take a win, just any old win, please.

Ol '66 is probably some UCLA guy in disguise, trying to stir up trouble. He probably is fearing the December rematch at the Coliseum when the Trojans mop up the Coliseum with what's left of the Bruins. What scares me is a USC rout this time around probably means the last straw for Dorrell, which means UCLA probably gets a competent coach for next year. Let's start a "Keep Dorrell Foundation" going!

Ol '66 just needs to show up Saturday afternoon to feast on the outrageous tailgates this weekend at the Coliseum for homecoming ... that will take the edge off him!

third time's the charm.....

after all, Booty is starting, so look for a repeat of last year's game. they *know* what w*rks against him, and so does UCLA.

You are going to mop up the Bruins just like you put 70 points on Stanford!

Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
