Too Late?
In case you missed it, here's one of the better quotes from Pete Carroll after the game.
``I would like to finish this season and make people wonder who the best team in the country is.''

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

The commentators in the LSU/Arkansas game agree with Pete Carroll. They just said no one wants to face USC now that they are healthy and firing on all cylinders.
wow...you blew it already; no one cares about USC on the national level.
DE got more TV attention than PC and his freshly botoxed face got
This quote from today's Arizona's Republic:
Erickson said he thought ASU had its worst tackling game.
"Watching them (USC) play live, they're one of the best teams in the country," he said. "We happened to catch them when they played like one of the best teams in the country. All the credit goes to them. We didn't play good; they did."
People are already wondering. Here's a quote from the LA Times:
Bob Davie, the former coach and current ESPN commentator, spent the night standing behind the Trojans' bench as they danced and howled and busted lips and bashed dreams and simply steamrollered the previously one-loss Sun Devils.
Davie had two observations.
He said, "I have never seen a team have as much fun as this team had; they were what college football is all about."
He also said, "By the time we get to Jan. 1, nobody is going to want to play this team. They could be the best team in the country."
tw...What is especially telling about the Bob Davie commentary is that he has demonstrated for years that there is one team that would never get his nod! The Trojans have never come into a positive light with this guy.
I'm not rooting for FUCLA tomorrow. I just can't. But, I am rooting against Oregon. ;-)
Scott, i know you were killing us for getting on you about ASU...but how about your boys, the Longhorns...#4 in the country?!?!?!? REALLY?
Its too bad that even our own local writers claim Pac-10 teams are overrated when they lose while ranked in the top 10, but if you lose while ranked in the top ten in the Big 12 or SEC you just have a lot of depth in your conference.
Too bad West VA and Ohio St. may squeak into a title game. BORING!
USCMIKE..I feel you..
there was an article exactly like that on www.cbssportsline.com too..saying there is a good thing there isn't a playoff because USC would win it all...
seems like no one agrees with you "just4sc"
:o))
We'll get serious style points for beating up on ASU. My guess is we're #6 or better come Sunday night. Then, after we hang half a hundred on the gutsy little Bruins, we'll be #4. Then get your "Buck the Fuckeyes, AP #1" shirts printed. Fight On!
