The USC-Arizona State telecast on ESPN earned a 3.4 rating, representing an average of 3,270,000 households, the network’s highest rating for college football on Thanksgiving since 1993 (Texas A&M at Texas earned a 4.0) and its most-watched game on the holiday since 1992 (Texas at Texas A&M was seen by 3,304,000 homes, based on a 5.4 rating).

Well, not to throw water on the idea, but there were a lot fewer viewers in the '90s than in 2007, so those numbers might be skewed. Still, it is nice to know that SC is still relevant around the country.

I thought it was awesome that the Pac-10 finally had a game for the whole nation to watch...and considering ASU is a program on the rise, with it's sights set on becoming a dominant program as well, maybe USC would be wise to reach a deal with the Pac-10 -and- ASU to have the game set for Thanksgiving every other year to coinside with playing Notre Dame on or near Thanksgiving every other year...

Think about it, ASU's on the rise and this is going to be THE marquee rivalry in the Pac-10 for the next few years...just a thought though...
