What is the status of Stefan Johnson's ankle injury??

trojanwahine Author Profile Page said:

What's Baker's injury status? Also, for the record, the penalty against Ellis was the "turkey" call of the day.

Trojan in Redondo Author Profile Page said:

With the kind of season Sam Baker has had this year, do you still think he's a first round draft pick or has he dropped? Also, what round do you predict Booty will be drafted?

Scott:

Now that Carmen Trutanich is running for LA City Attorney, do you think his defense of USC football players will become an issue especially in light of the fact that his opponent, Jack Weiss, has made pushing for more resources to help the LAPD investigate rape cases a platform? Will this affect USC in any way?

Trojan in Redondo Author Profile Page said:

Hey Scott, I read an interview with Mitch Mustain this week saying that he thinks his deep ball is his best feature as a quarterback. Could you elaborate on this?

Is Kristofer O'Dowd redshirting?

El Capitán Author Profile Page said:

JD'74:
Are there ANY USC players under rape investigation? Don't sugar coat your question and stop beating around the bush. Do you have any more ridiculous BS questions to ask?

Hey Scott:

How do you assess the USC-UCLA game this year? Blow out? Defensive struggle? Any thoughts on the game is apprecaited. Also, on a related note, is there any talk by the USC players or coaches about last year's game, and getting revenge?

Thanks.

halftrojan Author Profile Page said:

Do you think you were wrong in rating Texas so high?

sed4heisman Author Profile Page said:

So will the Longhorns be ranked #1?

CJS Author Profile Page said:

In my opinion, the two biggest senior losses from this team will be Sedrick Ellis and Lawrence Jackson. I assume that Averell Spicer and Everson Griffen will fill those positions, but it seems that depth at DE is a problem. Will you please comment on the depth of next season's d-line.

twillfan41 Author Profile Page said:

Will three loss texas with a three point win over nebraska still be considered a top ten team?

Goliathtrojan Author Profile Page said:

Scott..If you have any credibility at all, based on their 3 losses of which two were at home, their easy schedule that featured such juggernauts as Arkansas St, Central Fla,Rice,Baylor, Iowa St plus the other cupcakes from Ok St,TA&M and Neb...The only real competitive matchups they had were Okla and T Tech. There is no reason that your beloved Longhorns should even appear in your top 25 this week.

I also wonder how you will assess the 50 points the vaunted LSU defense gave up at home to unranked Arkansas.

What is the current line-up of players who will be leaving after this year? I heard some commentary yesterday about some eligible players staying?

JD'74: You are a JD? If you are then you know that a good lawyer represents his clients, whether they are criminal defendants, or plaintiffs, and Mr. Trutanich's success exemplifies his talent and ability. FYI: I live in Jack Weiss' district, and we have been trying to recall him for lying and a general disdain for his constituents. Far worse than defending students charged with crimes, and helping them salvage their lives and careers.

DFWTrojan Author Profile Page said:

Scott, I thought it was very telling that PC elected to kick the FG 3 TIMES against ASU. Obviously, he has had a change in philosophy regarding the value of the FG, and those 9 points and momentum gained were a huge factor in the ASU game. Has he mentioned a change in philosophy, what are your thoughts on this, and will you please ask him for a quote on the 3 FG attempts? That is the most he has attempted in quite some time.....I wonder how long? His old NO FG philosophy was a component of the Stanford loss. Go Buehler! Also, will you keep Texas at #4, or drop them to #5 or #6 this week?

scott,

is pete a republican or democrat? and whos he supporting for president? oh, and football related, do you think if our running game isnt working next week, pete will be more likely to just air it out (like vs. michigan, and asu) instead of being stubborn and sticking to the run (like ucla last year)?

lbt2k Author Profile Page said:

Scott,

Two parter here for you...(1) what's your dream match up in terms of who USC will play in their bowl game...and (2) how will you rate next year's team if everyone returns and the looming position battles (namely qb)? Thanks!

Jay, thanks. I don't go for for the silly insinuations.

With Pedalgate still unsolved and your shocking revelation that our hero Mitch Mustain's new bicycle was "borrowed" last week by an unknown suspect (right, as if we really don't know who took it...ahem), leading to the new Bicycle-Contra Affair, this raises some serious questions:

1) How does the Bicycle-Contra Affair relate in regards to "Mitch and Me"? Will it overtake Pedalgate in importance or will Pedelgate still be where the story begins and continues as a recurring theme throughout the book?

2) Is the bicycle a metaphor for life in "Mitch and Me"?

3) Is it not better for our hero Mitch Mustain to be transported back and forth to practice, and classes in general, by a golf cart, as he has been in the past by Coach Sark?

4) When the "Mitch and Me" action figures come out, will there be a miniature bicycle sold as well? Will it come with extra pedals?

5) In light of the Bicycle-Contra Affair, what have members of the athletic department done to step up security to protect our hero Mitch Mustain, who is not only the favorite among the student body, but he carries the hopes and future of all Trojans worldwide?

So with our hero Mitch Mustain, once again, put in peril's way due to the new Bicycle-Contra Affair, what are you doing to expose the culprit(...) behind the attempts to derail this Trojan destiny? Do you not owe it to all Trojans to get to the bottom of this affair and expose the Trojan version of Sylar who is out to rob the good of their power and ability?

Just as the saying "Save the cheerleader, save the world" goes in Heroes, is our saying not "Save our hero Mitch Mustain, save the Trojans"? Is that not what can go on the cover of "Mitch and Me" and all subsequent efforts?

Save our hero Mitch Mustain, Scott, and you will save the Trojans. He's our future.

The issue of Trutanich defending USC football players accused of sexual assault has already been raised by the LA Times and it will probably be a major campaign issue:

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/politics/cal/la-me-attorney17nov17,1,7603654.story?coll=la-news-politics-california

So the foolish captain needs to be quiet and cease making a fool of himself, no matter how amusing it may be for the rest of you.

So, Scott, any word yet as to whom the athletic dept has tapped to succeed Trutanich? Or do they assume he's going to lose to Weiss, so will continue to defend Trojan players after the election is over?

Scott - what do you think the chances are that Sarkisian gets an offer to become a head coach after this season?

Hi Scott:
Thanks Josh:
Scott, after eons of not being able to post, I'm back, older and wiser.
I have just one general question--recruiting-so cherry-pick whatever you want to answer-your Roman Meal bread that I have for you is going stale!
Are Holmes and Casey still 100% locks for us, like you said pre-season?
What does PC see in Casey?
Looks like Polk has probably de-committed-is it because he wants to play
TB and feels we are too stacked for him,or what?
How many, if any, players do you think we will get to de-committ from the Irish, the Aggies, or the dirty bruins?
After Patrick Johnson, do you see any other top recruits we have a good shot at?
Thanx in advance for whatever you choose to answer. Did I tell you I have two blind friends that want to ask you questions on recruiting that I have included above?
Heh heh. Have mercy, Wolfie.

Scott,
Sorry, I don't have a political question ... Fred Davis is having a first-team All-American season. How's that position look for next year ... would the talent drop-off there possibly justify moving over David Ausberry to that position? Thanks.

junior grade 99( a new usual suspect?) and the flower child-yes a child are at it again. I thought lawyers get paid to defend. Cowards hide behind a keyboard to talk big...
Politics do NOT belong here.

El Capitán Author Profile Page said:

JUNIOR GRADE99:
YOU are a big idiot just like the flower child. Thank you for the link. I read the article and it simply stated that Mr. Trutanich SUCCESSFULLY defended two USC players under sexual assault investigation. The times did NOT make it an issue>YOU did JG99 MORON>you are the insinuating political clown. The article does NOT provide any guilt ridden or implicating evidence except your twisted stupid interpretation. The investigation ended>You end your damn BS. Furthermore you are NOT impressing anyone with your moronic post except insulting everybody's intelligence, save it...
I encourage everybody to read the LA Times story.

Trojan in Redondo Author Profile Page said:

Scott-

How much more evidence do you need to ban El Capitan/Door Prize? For months, all he has done is insult everyone on your board, hurl profanity at anyone and everyone, and add nothing to the discussion. Does his behavior really promote your blog or anything to do with USC? Do you really believe your readers should be subjected to his classless filth? Do you realize many of your readers have families and we should not be subjected to this kind of behavior by someone who has nothing to do with USC and whose sole purpose is to insult and bring the discourse down to the lowest common denominator?

Hopefully you will finally stand up and ban this disruptive person, especially in light of how many people have requested this over the past several months.

Do the right thing, Scott.

In your "Where's the Beef" post, you seemed pretty pleased with yourself that you ranked ASU lower than other voters. It's easy to point out one time that you were on target, but what about your other insane ballot choices like Texas at #4 last week. Will you admit you were way off base ranking them that high now that they have 3 losses?

Goliathtrojan Author Profile Page said:

Any realistic chance of Ed O coming back to SC?

What do the players on the first team defense think of Mitch Mustain? Is this the unit that Pete Carroll is in charge of, and if the answer is yes, what does he think of Mustain and the job he has done against the first team defense?

As we have a whole Trutanich theme going this week, I also have a couple of questions. First, have you heard what Michael Jackson thinks about Trutanich running for office? Second, how do Trutanich's plans affect Josh Pinkard's pending case?

Scott and Bloggers:
The Big "O" is loose. How can we get the powers to bring Coach Orgeron back to where he belongs? Can a head coach go back to being an assistant coach? If Petey should ever leave. This would be DA MAN! But do you really want to hire your possible replacement?

I am watching the Auburn vs Alabama game. I just saw a security dog bite a player. No Sh!+. This was flash back to past for me. Another flash back to past is the race baiting BS that is going on in this blog.

I attended the Notre Dame game. The team buses arrived and the USC fans were cheering the players who were rocking the buses from the inside. As the players begin to exit the bus, the crowd was yelling each players name. When MS exited the Bus, some person standing very close to me somewhere yelled "Dirty Sanchez" people look around for this @SSHOLE however the Coward wouldn't back it up with another yell. I guess it is the same on this blog.

Scott, are you aware that Carmen Trutanich had a daughter, Kristen, who was on the USC soccer team in the late 1990s? She ended up transferring to LMU.

Don't you find it odd that since he already had one child go to USC who ended up transferring out that he would get so upset that the rest of his children were denied admission? The Trutanich family clearly were not meant to have a legacy at USC.
