Who Knew?

John David Booty looks forward to playing Arizona State this week because of the field.
``They probably have the best field in the Pac-10,'' Booty said. ``And the student section is always loud. It's a fun place to go to for a game. I always look forward to it.''

I know what he means by playing at Sun Devil Stadium, because the grass holds up well when making cuts...

But, the one thing you probably won't hear a lot people talk about is it's actually a really hard field too - almost like playing on concrete...

Either way be prepared for a track meet when these two meet on Thrusday, it should be an awesome game!

I have no idea what he is talking about, considering he has never played there. He only started against ASU last year at the Coliseum. Wait, did he come in for a down or two when Leinart took that cheap shot to the chin in 05? I remember they had to shave a bit of his beard off so they could stitch him up.

I expect more cheap shots from a Dennis Erickson coached team.

Yes greengable but he has been there twice as Leinart's back up, in both 03 and in 05.

JDB needs to concentrate on hanging onto the ball, not looking down receivers, not throwing interceptions, being mobile and not getting passes batted down - release quicker. Should not have time to notice the atmosphere. It won't seem so "fun" if we lose.

Compare your statement VS Mark Sánchez. JDB is NOT mobile-Sánchez is. If JDB is pressed he will NOT release quickly>incomplete or INT NOT to mention batted passes. We have seen this before, haven't we?
Thank you for making my point SOCalMAB which is the difference between Mark Sánchez and JDB.

You gotta love some SC fans. JDB is being friendly to the media, answers what was probably a dumb question about traveling to Arizona St., and then gets grilled for not being Mark Sanchez.

How about you idiots just take his quote and discuss it for what it is, not make it a Mark Sanchez comment.

I don't know what your damn problem is. This is a FREE country. My favorite quote when I don't like an opinion which I have to respect reluctantly I say noted which is part of the democratic process. You don't have the right to call anybody an idiot particularly when you hide cowardly behind a keyboard. Show some class. Again just because you don't like an opinion it does NOT give you the right to call anybody names, GOT IT? Furthermore it is called football. Anytime any QB is mentioned inevitably comparisons are going to be made. That is a fact. You like turkey I like ham. Let's leave at that. That is NOT too complicated, is it?
Thank you

Hey El Capitán:

Did you also go by the screen name of Door Prize? Just curious.

When you see double posting by El Capitán and Door Prize at the same then ask me, OK? In the past there were a lot of people hijacking identities and you did NOT say a word. WHY ALL of a sudden you get so INQUISITIVE and so hypocritically concerned? What is your problem? WHY have you decided to single me out? ALL of a sudden you are the pope of LA, ah?
Let's get back to USC football discussions, shall we?
Thanks

Yes, the captain is also known as the door knob.

He was originally the captain, then made such an ass of himself, humiliating himself, so changed his name to the door knob.

Then, yet again, made such an ass of himself, humiliating himself, so changed his name back to the captain.

So that's why he's the only person who has to bring Sanchez into the equation, regardless of what the topic is about.

Some people just don't learn, but at least he makes us feel superior all the time with his illiterate rantings.

Hey El Capitán:

Wow, I just asked if you used to be Door Prize. A simple "no" or "yes" would have sufficed.

I just noticed that your writing style is very similar to Door Prize, including capitilizing for emphasis and accenting certain letters of the alphabet, not to mention undying support for Sanchez(whom I supported as well on this blog).

I'll take it as a "yes" and leave it at that. If the answer is "no" then you have a twin out there in the universe.

Do you know how to read? Scott Wolf himself wrote two articles today on this very same paper. Secondly he emphasized about JDB what I've said before. That means that my statements regarding JDB's performance have been validated. As I said earlier anytime any QB is mentioned inevitably comparisons will be made. If you don't like Mark Sánchez it is your right. It is also my right to root and idolize Sánchez if I choose to do so. That is settled. You don't know a damn thing about me yet you turn cowardly behind a keyboard to insult me and to belittle me. You sound classy alright. Furthermore according to your questionable reasoning any person that opines is an illiterate person, WOW? Talking big behind a keyboard equates you IQ...

PLH55: I am a longtime SC fan and continue to be. I was so during the Hackett years, and way before. I am not an idiot, and if you disagree with my comments so be it but show some maturity by refraining from childish namecalling. Instead, try explaining why your view is better. I am disappointed in Booty, and to follow up my comments I think he has been distracted by either his press, the team's past success, or simply nerves and insecurity about his abilities. Ergo my remarks: He should concentrate on improving his weaknesses which appear to be many.

Has anybody read SW's article titled Time For USC Booty To Step Up?
One more thing a fellow Trojan fan from another blog sent me the link that enables me to use the Spanish language accents.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
