Cushing Status

Linebacker Brian Cushing, who bruised his knee Friday, made a surprise appearance at practice today and said he should be OK for the Rose Bowl. The Trojans departed Home Depot Center this afternoon for the Christmas break. Cushing flies home today for New Jersey while freshman tailback Joe McKnight went straight to the airport from practice for a few days in Louisiana.
Judging from the traffic we saw around LAX, we hope everyone leaves several hours early for the airport.
