Just Another Game

We thought this was a less-than-inspired version of the crosstown rivalry and felt it offered about as much emotional energy as the USC-Oregon State game.
``It wasn’t quite so much a crosstown battle thing,’’ offensive tackle Drew Radovich said. ``They were a lot more chirpy last year.’’

You know what's "less than inspired" Scotty? Your rankings. What happened to Texas? What happened to West Virginia? You are oh-so-happy to try to rub it in our faces when SC destroys a decent ASU team, but when a team who's teat you've been suckling all year goes out and lays an egg... crickets.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, only one person on this entire site has even been nominated as worst AP voter in the country, and that voter is you.

I know SC has looked less than spectacular this season, but it irritates me to no end that we will end up playing Illinois while OSU plays whatever SEC team that the voters put in the NC game.

I was hoping that the Stanford game would just go away. You know, SC would have no shot at the NC game because other teams took the bull by the horns... but no. Gone are the days of '04 when 3 big-time schools went undefeated and the BCS had to leave an undefeated (Auburn) out. Now they are picking over the remains of two SEC teams who lost twice a piece, yet never played each other, and a Big-10 team who decided to play Youngstown State, Kent State, and some other crappy Ohio state school that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Please, playoff train. Make a stop at DI football. Afterall, if you don't have the cajones to have a playoff, maybe you should just "play intramurals brother"!

Fight on!

PS Scott Wolf sucks.

I like Radovich, but he has made several bonehead penalties over the past 2-3 weeks now. Get your head in the game, buddy, and quit worrying about the rivalry and how chippy it is or is not. He is the ONLY lineman right now who seems to make repeated mistakes. Get it together or get somebody else in there for him who can. Those 5-yard illegal procedure penalties on your HOME field are unforgivable.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
