SW, what do you think is the biggest concern for PC and his staff, in order to secure another Rose Bowl victory? Who do you think will become the vocal "leader" for the 2008 season? Fight On!
Are you surprised at the sheer widespread media coverage that Mitch Mustain got this season, all across the board in terms of various publications and outlets, considering he was not even eligible to play this year? Have you ever encountered another case of a player who was not eligible to play getting so much media coverage?
Unlike the Whitney Lewis fallout, which seemed to be largely the result of poor performance on Whitney's part, the potential for an Allen Bradford fallout does not seem to stem from poor performance on Allen's part. Every time I've seen him in a game, he has produced. Is my impression correct and if so, does it seem to you (as it seems to me) that the team is really losing out from the failure to get this kid more playing time?
How did you become a soccer fan ? Aren't you a fan of Chelsea?
For a football question. Do you see any changes in the staff and is there a surprise recruit, a difference maker as they say, in the offing or is what we see what we get, a pretty average class devoid of DT's, DE's CB's and LB's
Scott,
I've read quite a few articles that have mentioned how Mitch Mustain was enjoying the low profile he has had since coming to SC, so is he prepared for his profile to get much bigger in the next few months and do you know what he thinks about that and if he is anticipating it?
Just what exactly does Yogi Roth actually do at USC? Seriously, what does he do? (Other than designing the cover of the playbook every week, of course.)
Is the possibility of David Auseberry moving to tight end, a real poossibility?
Could you describe how Mitch Mustain developed and improved as a QB from the first time you saw him in the summer to the final scrimmage?
Thanks in advance, Scott.
Where would you rank the Pac-10 among all football conferences this year?

Don't you get tired of the same old Bool$#*T? Are you craving for attention? Do you have an attention deficit disorder? Do you have a rear kissy-kissy syndrome? Get a new lipstick...
Make an appointment with a psychologist...
Any word on how Leinart's collarbone rehab is going? Do you think he starts next year at Arizona?
What is your take on bloggers that are not USC students. or alums on this site?
Hi Scottie:
On the morning of Cravaths' last game as head coach of the Trojans,I remember Dick Hyland, a former football player at Stanford, who was nicknamed Tricky Dick when he played ball, and in 1950 was a columnist for the LA Times, referred to the Trojans as "El Trojan del Floppo" because they had won only one game all year--his column was posted in the locker room, and, needless to say, the Trojans went out and upset the heavily-favored Irish--all that being said, I don't remember if I ate lunch today!
Onto my question: If you were a rabid Trojan fan, as I am, at this point in time, re our 2008 recruiting class, would you be:
[a[ happy ----or
[b] unhappy
and why.
Thank you, Wolfie, for continuing the open forums!
PS I know it's too early to answer that question, but I hope you will give it your best shot, based on your inside information that we don't have--thanx again.
I'm a Pac-10 homer, but IMHO, the PAC-10's standing among other conferences is going to take a hit this year. Cal and Oregon each rose to number two, and proceeded to lose all but one game the rest of their respective schedules (Cal at 1-6 and Oregon at 0-3). Both could lose to smaller prgorams (Air Force and So. Fla.) ASU just got pounded by Texas. UCLA was a huge (but predictable) disappointment, and choked in their bowl game against BYU, a team they already beat. Assuming USC beats Illinios, it will be discounted because it was a win against lower ranked Big 10 runner-up. The same is true if Oregon St beats Maryland.
It was definitely a disappointing year for the Pac-10. Most will say that the SEC and, perhaps, the Big-12 are better this year.
FIGHT ON!
Scott:
With yet another disappointing and underachieving season coming to an end for our football team, with our third straight appearance in the Rose Bowl, this raises some serious questions:
1) Does this Rose Bowl game not, in fact, signify the end of an era for USC, since we all know that we will now be going to three straight BCS championship games starting next year with our hero Mitch Mustain taking over at the helm for the Trojans?
2) Since the Trojan Marching Band came up with "Booty! Booty! Booty!" the past two years, what song do you think the band will come up with to play at games in honor of our hero Mitch Mustain for next year? Do you think it will be Mariah Caray's "Hero"?
3) Did the coaches know all along that we would never go to another BCS championship game again until our hero Mitch Mustain became eligible?
4) Is it true the SID has already begun the 2008 Heisman campaign for our hero Mitch Mustain, but more due to the fact that it's a mere formality than an actual unneeded lobbying effort?
5) Is it true the presidential candidates have requested photo opportunities with our hero Mitch Mustain, knowing that such a picture will surely guarantee their election? Is it also true that our hero Mitch Mustain will not take a formal political stance due to the fact that he is a quarterback to all people, not merely just half the country? Is that not the sign of a true hero?
Fight On and Merry Christmas!
flower child:
STOP THE HERO BOOL$#*t WITH MM. WHAT THE HELL HAS HE DONE TO BE CLASSIFIED LET ALONE BEING CALLED A DAMN HERO? YOU IDIOT YOU ARE INSULTING OUR TROOPS IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN THAT ARE DYING FOR THIS COUNTRY.
WAKE-UP MORONIC CLOWN, OK?
...And there are young women who get raped every day on university campuses and are then intimidated with threatening action to drop charges. So why do you stay silent about the rapist who gets away with his crime while his victim suffers a lifetime of misery?
Wow, BcS, you have to be a USC student or alum to post here ? I'll bet you're one of those SC dopes who shuns SC fans who didn't attend the University. Well, I didn't attend USC, have had season tickets to the football games since 1967, have traveled here and there to see the team play, even in the darkest days of Tollner, Smith and Hackett, have attended numerous basketball games, was a donor to the baseball program, but hey, if I'm not good enough for ya because I'm not a student or alum, maybe I'll find another team to support
Scott-
Have you seen this video of the USC journalism student who keeps arguing with John Cusack, insisting he is Kevin Spacey?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXF8Lhvjqa8
For some reason, he refuses to agree with her, despite her claims of "Really? Really?"
Is this really what passes for research in the journalism department at USC these days? Does it make you proud to be an Annenberg man?
Wrong, Rah-Rah. Just being a bit facetious, and would like to know Scott's view on derogatory comments aimed at non-USC students, or alums, on this blog.
Cool BcS. But I can tell you this, I have on numerous occasions run into "Trojan Family" who when they found out I was not an alum, just blew me off.
Hey Rah-Rah:
I am an alum and you sound like a true USC fan, notwithstanding the last sentence where you threaten (perhaps jokingly) that you might root for someone else. Any USC fan is okay with me, regardless of whether he or she attended the school. The problem, however, is the bandwagon fans who show up in good times, and then split when the team does not meet expectations.
In LA, most people tend to take sides for USC or FUCLA even if they didn't attend either university. It is not exclusively about school pride, but about pride in the local sports teams, as well. This is especially true with no NFL team.
What color Jersey's will USC be wearing in the Rose Bowl?
Thank you usc mike. Thank you Rah-Rah. I am with you. I have been a loyal USC fan in good and bad times for over thirty years. I have bought USC merchandise which supports the school. It is sad and childish that some of these USC "pseudo owners" have that stupid attitude and forget that this is a FREE country which I gave twenty five years of my life for.
Thank you
Luis, Luis, Luis!
You are such a hypocritical, illiterate, uneducated fool. Everyone knows you send emails to journalists pleading with them not to say anything good about Mustain but begging them to not to mention Sanchez's off the field problems. Those emails get forwarded all over the place and people laugh at you. Then you get worked up when Mustain gets so much good publicity and someone says something positive about him.
You are nothing and you have no pull at USC. You never went to USC and you are too embarrassed to tell anyone where you actually went to college (because you never went to college at all). Accept your place in the world, Luis. Just accept it. You are nothing.
So when's that mythical court appearance, joker? Ha ha ha ha ha!
Oh, Luis...
