Open Forum Answers, Act IV
This installment is brought to you by AEG, which cannot field a winning pro sports franchise, so it did the next-best thing and brought USC down to the Home Depot Center.
John David Booty might graduate but he will probably take the spring semester off to prepare for the draft. He might not be as tall as teams like but he needs to give it a shot, especially since quarterbacks get injured so often now that it's difficult to even who starts from week-to-week in the NFL.
Mitch Mustain clearly is able to read his progressions on pass plays. It also helps that he knows he can trust Damian Williams to get the ball if he puts it in the right spot. Some of the plays were called to Williams but others weren't. It's not the first time they took advantage of the situation this year. Williams is able to read Mustain's release better than the other receivers and knows where the ball will end up because they played together since seventh grade.
Even with that advantage, it wouldn't work unless Mustain possessed poise, as I've said many times. Whether he is as good as Matt Leinart at reading defenses, we'll see. His temperament is better than Leinart's though and I believe his confidence is better at the same age.

AEG/Philip Anshutz should seize the moment and partner with USC to finally build a Downtown L.A. stadium by the Staples Center. Where’s Tim Leiweke?
