About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

can't get enthusiastic playing #13 Illinois. #5 and #6 should play each other, period. feels like a loss.
Though I agree that against Ohio ST or GA would have been more competitive and exciting games that does NOT mean USC or fans for that matter should be complacent about facing the fighting Illini!
No kidding, after a disastrous mid-season streak with Michigan and Iowa losses, Illinois looked very solid the last 1/3 of the year. And, with a win in Columbus, they are clearly a dangerous team. I bet they watch a lot of the Oregon tapes and try to make Juice emulate Dixon. But, I don't think they will execute well enough, we'll stuff their prolific running game, and the Trojans will execute efficiently in another 30-something to 10-something Rose Bowl blowout.
With the 13.5 point spread, and a 50 point over/under, the wise guys in Las Vegas think USC is going to win 31.75 to 18.25 (which rounds to 32 to 18). I'll take that!
