Star Vs. Star
Tonight's highly anticipated matchup between guard Jrue Holiday of Campbell Hall, the nation's No. 3 player and headed to UCLA, against guard Demar DeRozan of Compton, the nation's No. 2 player and headed to USC, did not quite live up to its billing at Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach.
Derozan made just 9 of 28 shots and finished with as 29 points as Campbell Hall won by 14 points. Holiday scored 32 points on 12 of 22 shooting.

Am I the only basketball fan that mentally gives 1 1/2 basket credit for 3-point shots made? For example, 9 of 28 is not impressive, but if there were 5 made 3s the player gets deserved extra credit, or a line score of 11 1/2 of 28.
Same with percentages. A player who makes 50% of 2s is good, and a player who makes 33 1/3% of 3s is good. To obtain an accurate percentage one has to have the breakdown of 2s and 3s. In other words, I would rather have a 40% 3s shooter than a 50% 2s shooter.
Jrue sucks, he is too short to play the 2. Demar is way better.
You have to be kidding me when you say Jrue sucks! I am one of the biggest SC homers in the world but having watched the kid play various times throughout his four years of high schoo, I can tell you he improves something each year. He also seems to be very competitive.
I hope Demar picks up his shooting and I hope Jrue is only at UCLA for one year because he could pose problems for SC down the road.

Scott, What's the scoop on Malik Story? Why was he asked to leave Oak Hill? Times said it wasn't legal issues...
