Timing Is Everything
What made the performance of wide receiver Damian Williams (and Mitch Mustain) at the weekend scrimmage so worthwhile?
The fact it was a mid-Decemeber scrimmage. Usually, these are dreary affairs where even coaches don't learn a whole lot, as players face each other for the fourth straight month. But the Arkansas duo jumped out with their dynamic play (and even surprised the coaches).
Yes, it was against the reserves. But the type of plays made were not just a case of a guy being open, but making eye-opening plays. And these guys already did their thing in the SEC. OK, there's my positive post for the day.

Good Times.
It’s hard to keep the emotions and the excitement of 2008 in check, when the 2007 season still needs a strong closing statement. 2008 will be really exciting, especially with the battle at the QB position (although Governor Mitch Mustain has made huge statement). Think about the WR position and how strong that position is going to be next season. Fight On!
Wolf. So, you finally admit your man crush on Mustain. You were as excited as a schoolgirl and didn’t even notice the small bodies you trampled as you muscled your way through the passel of autograph seeking tykes (my own 10 year old included) that surrounded Mitch. It took two days for your shoe print to fade from my kid’s forehead. Didn’t your Mommy teach you to wait your turn?
Great to hear. Mitch is clearly the future of USC football. From the third day of training camp in August to now, he's been one major highlight on a daily basis after another. He is an all-world talent.
Fight On, Mitch!!!!
Dateline: Jan.2, 2008
Following another crushing defeat of a Big 10 team in a BCS game USC head coach Pete Carrol announces a major shift in the offense. Tired of the samo-samo, he will go to a spread offense in 2008. Heading that offense will be multipurpose QB Aaron Corp! No work on the Sanchez/Mustain reaction or transfer plans...
Chiete76:
What in the hell is samo-samo?
Do you mind defining that?
Thank you
I assume samo-samo = same old, same old.
Mike:
Ok, cool I buy that!
Thnx
