USC Dilemma

One prominent USC figure frequently speaks about the way USC president Steven Sample wants the university to become Stanford academically while at the same time expecting athletes to flourish in the classroom (or at least stay eligible).
Even sacred cow O.J. Mayo, who said he received a 29 on the ACT, discussed it recently.
``The guy sitting next to me (in class) probably scored higher than me,'' Mayo said. ``So it's pretty challenging in class too.''

WHY didn't you mention the soccer team period? Nice try but you made a fool out of yourself trying to make a point with your poor choice of words.
To refer to the soccer team by calling it a football team was just plain ridiculous and stupid NOT to mention you insulted everybody's intelligence with your literature masterpiece...
