USC V. Oklahoma

| | Comments (1) |

I can't remember what ESPN calls it, but their football playoff concluded tonight with ``experts'' Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit picking Oklahoma over USC in the championship game.
Now this raises a question. Since Herbstreit votes in the AP poll and believes USC is one of the top two teams in a playoff, would he vote the Trojans No. 1 if they defeat Illinois and Oklahoma loses its bowl game?

Brought to you by the same people who thought Oklahoma would beat USC in the 2005 Orange Bowl. History Lesson: 1981..1982..1988..1992..2004

USC is 5-0 against these guys in the last quarter century. Oklahoma has as much trouble against PAC-10 passing offenses as USC has against mobile QB's. This would not be a good matchup for the Sooners.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
