Something here does NOT make sense. How can Fred Davis who wins the best TE-John Mackey award, yet, he doesn't make the first team ALL American? SW would you explain that?
Secondly is there any chance to revive the national recognition on TV of the AA players like Bob Hope used to do?
Thnx

There are a lot of All-American teams, and much as in beauty contests, they can be highly subjective.

Scott, could you clarify why LoJack was on the second and third team? Was he on there for different position (ie DE & DT)?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
