Linebacker Keith Rivers has signed with agent David Dunn, who also represents Carson Palmer.

SCOTT, you do a very thorough job of covering SC athletics, but I really wish you -- as well as all sportswriters -- would keep agents out of the sports pages. Athletes are the story, agents aren't. Is it news that Rivers signed with an agent? Maybe. Is it news that Rivers signed with the same guy who represents Carson Palmer? I think not.
Could be a petpeeve, but I really am sick of seeing sportswriters fawn to agents as a means of gaining access to their clients. You certainly aren't excessive in this regard, but so many beat writers these days are.
