Carroll-Falcons Update
OK, we hear USC coach Pete Carroll and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank spoke yesterday and had what was described as an ``extremely cordial'' conversation, according to a source. The Falcons informed Carroll they would interview other candidates and no job offer was discussed.
At this point, it seems unlikely Carroll winds up in Atlanta.
It amazes me that Pete talking with the NFL each season is such a big story. I think it is all the whinning Bruin fans that hope and pray someday Pete will leave. Even if he does leave, the "machine" is in place to produce more National Championships in the future.
