Coaching Carousel
USC secondary coach Demetrice Martin did not get hired by Nevada. Ironically, we hear Nevada hired Oregon State's Nigel Burton. Burton was considered a frontrunner to become the secondary coach at UCLA with the Bruins looking to hire a secondary coach.

Any proof the Nigel is leaving OSU? Most would consider Nevada a step down from OSU. Nevada does have another former OSU coach in Charlie Camp, but he ended up at Nevada in a roundabout way.
When did this become a UCLA blog? Almost every single post here in the past week or so has had some reference to the half-assed football operations masquerading as a real program across town.
I'm gonna go ahead and say it now - if Norm Chow signs on at UCLA in any capacity he is officially dead to me. And no I don't care about his calling plays for USC in the Orange Bowl or in the triple overtime loss at Cal. I hope PC stomps his offense into the ground next year and every year he dares go up agains the mighty Trojans. PC was right no program can put up with two egos - of Norm think's Pete's ego is huge wait till he has to take a back seat to the Neuheisel. At least Norm and Pete coached separate sides of the team. I can't wait till Neiheisel overrules one of Norm's calls...
Nevada is not the best place to go right now. Maybe it was a blessing for Martin (USC) not to get the job. Head Coach Chris Ault is really on the "hot seat" in Reno. Hopefully, they will have a great year.
Burton (OSU), was hired as DC & safeties coach, Stan Ward (Colorado St.), as CB's coach, by the Wolfpack. Both are supposed to be outstanding recruiters, as well.
