BCS is truly a great system

This game should cause everyone to take a moment and rethink the current system. The Big-10 gets away with playing joke opponents and getting into the BCS Championship game (Buckeyes Bah Humbug!) while a team like USC is just 8 points away from a perfect season. I think the BCS should move to the "plus 1" where the four BCS bowls take the top 8 teams and we have a mini-playoff. This Illinois team beat the "#1 team in the country" on its home turf. If LSU wins big next week, then I hope something will be done.

Ohio State didn't deserve it last year and they may prove they don't deserve it this year.

We own the Rose Bowl. And we were a point or 8 points away from playing for another championship. We are truly fortunate to be a part of this team and this school, so don't think I'm just whining about this... USC can take any team out there and the whole point of the BCS system is to determine the BEST team.

The best team in the country just won the Rose Bowl. We'll see if the consensus #1 team deserves their title next week.

Fight On!

sctrojan99, unfortunately just like last year, a loss to a mediocre team killed our BCS title game hopes again. UCLA last year and Stanford this year. SC only has themselves to blame.

Best Team in the Country? Maybe the "Best Team That Money Can Buy" won the Rose Bowl.

A team that loses a game at home where they are favored by 50 points is not the best team in the country!!

Michigan and Georgia both looked like the top 2 teams of the day!!

Whatever Bill. SC owns Michigan and Georgia beat Hawaii. Well, I guess that would be impressive to a UCLA homer. Go Mormons...I meant BYU.

Bill,

You really are a twit. I can't believe I'm even taking the time to respond to you, but I've seen so many of your posts bashing our program that I've finally had enough.

The NCAA has rules for compliance, and as long as we meet those rules we are in good standing, just like UCLA. Success breeds two things: contempt and legacy. Developing a winning program ensures more high-caliber recruits want to be a part of it, you all should know that from b-ball. Success also brings out the haters. It's kind of funny though, because I cannot recall one Nat'l championship won by UCLA football yet I despise you all over there. Especially a twit like you.
