Linebacker Rey Maualuga said he there was a ``100 percent'' chance he would return for his senior season. But USC coach Pete Carroll still wants Maualuga to apply for an evaluation from the NFL to answer any questions Maualuga has about his draft stock.

And, if he evaluates as a 1st rounder, then does he still stay? He could certainly use another year of seasoning, but had his best game of the year by far. Weird that Ray is usually the LB most prone to over-pursuing and missing his gap assignments, but Rivers seemed to make the majority of those mistakes during the game. Anyway, if Rey wants to stay already, then getting his evaluation can only work against us.

true - but the evaluation also serves as an educational piece for the player - as in - you need to imrpove x,y,z (or in rey's case - overpusuing, missing gap assignements, etcetc). Doing this will lead you to an elevated draft status next go around.

Rey Maualuga has the intelligence of a rock so he may not even know how much 100% of something is. He must be the guy that computes the SAT averages of incoming freshman at USC.

Fuzzy math indeed.

Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
