It's A Rerun

The offense does some good things and bad things, the defense does its job, the special teams makes a mistake (that it overcomes). This really is not much different than most USC games this season.

Sorry, Ricky, cannot buy that excuse in the 4th quarter - yes, the defense comes to the rescue yet again - surprised?!

49 points!

Again, the Trojans prove that UCLA can play its home games in the Rose Bowl, but once January 1st comes, Pasadena belongs to USC. How many years will it be until UCLA plays in the Rose Bowl game? Another new coach, another blown-up coaching staff losing its two main recruiters, another new offense to install, football recruits defecting and going to school elsewhere ... does not look good right now for the Westwood boys.

even though we put up 49 points, i would like to chalk it up to the players more than the playcalling. sorry, but the bubble screens and all of its 3 yards of glory per catch don't impress me. we have the players to blow everybody else out, let's start acting like it.

WilliamHung - agreed, yet without the bubble screen, we still win in spite of everything that occured.
Bring on next year - bigger and beter!!!

like we gained 600+ yards...I still have issues with Sark. What amazes me is how the broadcasters keep telling us how fantastic he is at play calling.

Jeez, USC had the most total yards in Rose Bowl HISTORY, and tied for the most points (and was one play away from breaking that record). Let's lighten up a little bit, eh?

All in all, a very satisfying Rose Bowl win. Now we just have to wait 8 months for the next game.

Fight On!

8 months until we go to Virginia, then hosting Ohio St...add an improved ND and the tough Pac10 and our strength of sched will be one of the tops in the nation. Cant wait for it all to happen!

just4sc, Musburger and Herbstreit were also talking about how fans were commenting on missing Lane Kiffin when SC was struggling earlier this year. Are you kidding me, Kiffin sucks. A little imagination against Texas on 4th and 1, and SC has another BCS title. And who could forget UCLA knocking us out of the BCS game last year. Great adjustments Lane. In the past I know. Anyway, we miss Norm Chow but definitely not Kiffin. That being said, we won a game we were supposed to win so hats off. Can't wait until next year.

just4sc said:

yeah trjanman, I forgot about that-largely due to the fact that Mushmouth said it.

Where was Reggie Bush on the sidelines? I think that Pete Carroll is seeing the writing on the walls or the payoffs from agents!

Cheat On!

This was a very satisfying win. I was especially thrilled to see Desmond Reed and Hershel Dennis get into the endzone. After so much hardship, a great ending for both players.

NOT anyone had bothered to compliment USC's defensive squad, hello are you there? Come on guys, please? A very disciplined defensive effort won the game. Defense wins games and that is a fact.
Thank you

In fairness to SW he got this one right.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
