No To LSU
There's been speculation in Louisiana that USC coach Tim Floyd could become the next coach at LSU. But Floyd reiterated tonight that USC will be his last job and he would not consider going to LSU because his friend, John Brady, is the coach.
``I have the best job,'' Floyd said.

Attaboy, Tim. A man of his word, a true Southerner, not some glib city slicker (not that we would ever find any on these L.A. blogs).
Besides, SC basketball is on the rise. The Trojans had a very good season last year, almost making it to the Elite Eight. Recruiting top players is improving-- Mayo, Jefferson, Gibson, and Hackett are fine players with great upside potential (although of course Mayo will bolt, but he really needs another year or two of college seasoning).
And Galen Center. Have you been there yet? Go. It is a confined, loud basketball venue with not a bad seat in the house (unlike Pauley and Staples). And the SC student section finally has given Troy a home court advantage. Priceless.
The other shoe dropped this morning. LSU canned their coach. TF gone by April 15.
