USC tailback Hershel Dennis ended his career with a touchdown with 5:47 left in the game.
``I was afraid I was going to leave here without any touchdowns, but Carroll and the coaching staff looked out for me and made sure I touched the zone before I left,'' Dennis said

It was great to see Hershel out there (as well as Jody). Hershel TD was so reminiscent of the Charlie White 1979 Rose Bowl TD. HEY, IT WAS SIX, DAMN IT! Fight On!
I was also happy to see Desmond Reed score on the trick play. Its good to see the seniors who really over came adversity get their due.
To pile on, also great to see Magic McDonald get a handful of snaps, and then really cool and shocking to see Adewale bust a +10 yard gain! It amazes me that that was Hershel's 1st career TD. I really am suprised that we didn't work him into the rotation more this year.
That wasn't Hershel's first career touchdown...He had one in the UCLA game in 2002, 4 in the 2003 season, and 1 in the 2004 season. I don't know why his comment came out like that.
I think it was truly one of the highlights of the game.
And I also agree with uscdog, it was good to see D. Reed get in the end zone.
Desmond's and Hershel's touchdowns were heartwarming finishes for two players who have worked so hard to overcome adversity. Bravo!
FIGHT ON, PATCH, JODY, MICHAEL AND DES !!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR TROJAN CAREER--AND IT HAS JUST BEGUN, GUYS!!!
HD had five TD's in '03. He must have been referring to the '07 season, but it was a long time between touchdowns. Congratulations!!! to all the seniors.
