About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Actually, you didn't list the No. 1 likelihood: that Chow is no-class, turn-coat egomaniac who's going to get his head handed to him in the Pac 10.
Wolfie, I would love to hear Leinart or Palmer's reaction to this. Also, Sarks. No one knows Chow's offensive schemes and impact on an offense better than Sark.
Norm won’t be able to make a silk out of a sow’s ear; he’s going to have loads of fun with Olson, Cowan, Forcier, Rashann, Bethel-Thompson, and a substandard offensive line. Pete Carroll is the ultimate competitor, so I’m sure he welcomes the opportunity to defeat a well coached UCLA team for a change. The presence of Chow in Westwood will only serve as additional motivation for Pete to wipe the floor with the baby bears. Lose twice to SC the psychotic UCLA fan base will turn against Chow like he’s the second coming Karl Dorrell.
Norm won’t be able to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear
This is NO BIG DEAL unless the itty-bitty no-class bRUINS can recruit a stud quarterback in the mold of Carson Palmer or Phil Rivers. You can't turn dirt into gold no matter how hard you try to sell it. Maybe Norm will have UCLA go back to the single wing?
Anyone who thinks that hiring NORM CHOW as your O-coordinator is NO BIG DEAL is delusional. Didyou say it was NO BIG DEAL when USC got him? I doubt it.
This one hurts folks, and it's time to face the music. PC f'ed up by losing him and he has now F*ed up again by not trying to get him back.
Chow is a great play caller, and will be gunning for USC every year. I bet UCLA gets 2 extra wins out of him next year, maybe 1 even vs. USC and our 4 yard and a cloud of dust offense -whoops we already called the bubble screen 20 times this game I guess we better run on 3rd and 19 since our WR's
SUCK AS* and can't catch anything
Poor delusional TrOJies. If we beat you guys with Karl Dorrell and a bunch or sorry coaches, what do you think we're going to do to you with this All Star coaching team? I've said it all along. UCLA is a SLEEPING GIANT. Well that Giant has now been awoken by Neuheisal, Walker, and Chow. Neuheisal is clearly the coach Chetey Petey and the TrOJies didn't want to see hired and now we're seeing why. The tides they are a changing. You guys can keep Norton.
It's funny that you old soured wives now call Chow and Bruins classless. HAHAHAHA. LMFAO. Pete was the A-hole who disrespected Chow and drove him out. Well, now it's payback time. All the talent in the world couldn't get you wins against hapless Stanford(at home) or Oregon. HAHAHAHA. I love how in typical Whinny TrOJie fashion you guys now make excuses for those losses because you didn't have your first string QB in. Awwwwwww poor TrOJies didn't have their QB. HAHAHAHA. Soon the NCAA will bring it's hammer down on Chetey Petey and his band of Hooligans and strip you of your revered Heisman and National Championships and you will no longer have anything to talk about. Then how many recruits will want to go there?
Hopefully the NCAA will finally wise up and put you improper benefit receiving (Reggie Bush, Steve Smith, Alan Casden to whole FB team), Dog Fighting (McNair), Improper Contacting (Bush to McKnight), Grade Cheating (Senora Ross), Steroid Taking and Selling (Ting Brother and Pappa Ting), lack of institutional control punks down.

Hey Bruin Faithful:
Um, 72-63 and 24-7. Scoreboard.
Your QB is still Ben Olsen with those knees.
By the way, how long before Neuheisal attracts the NCAA's interest? According to Coach Slick Rick, the over/under is 2 years.
100 NCAA Titles:
Ummmmm, we already have Chris Forcier and Nick Crissman is coming next year. BTW, did you see Matt Barkley on Saturday at the UCLA SUC BB game? Apparently he was there on an unofficial visit. Looks like old Neuheisal is making some deep inroads with him. You guys worried? Does that answer your questions on our QB's? What QB wouldn't want to come play for Neuheisal and Chow? Two offensive masterminds. Soon enough the tides will turn. People are getting tired of the SUC story. Just as easily as all those losers jumped on the Bandwagon, they will soon jump off.
BTW, on your comment about Bruins having no-class. Please, look how you guys treat your own players. From Ryan Ting, "But we really don't go on the message boards ever since the Texas game - because of that play where many have criticized me for not making the interception. It kind of disheartened me. It was disheartening because after the game, people I didn't even know would call me, and e-mail me. I got death threats."
Yeah, calling and e-mailing your own players to harrass them and even threaten their lives is REAL CLASSY.
CHEAT ON!!!!
uscmike:
It's great to talk about the past when the future is so gloomy. Congrats on both wins. However, I'm looking through the winsheild and not the rearview. Besides, BB wins in January are meningless. The ones in March and April are worth much more. We still play you at least one more time this year. Trust me the difference will be different next time. BTW, what is the name of your BB coach? I ask many PUSC people and it's funny many don't even know. HAHAHAHA. In fact many of you don't even care about BB. I'm glad you have suddenly found an interest. Even on here most of the stories are about FB.
Funny Slick Rick over/under comment. Ironically, the thing that's really funny is that RN never broke any NCAA rule by participating in that March Madness Pool, at least he likes BB. HAHAHA. That's why he was exonerated by the NCAA and won a 4 million dollar settlement. Secondly, how hypocritical for you to talk about RN and insinuate future transgressions, when you have a crap load of MAJOR infractions with overwhelming evidence. You want to compare Bush and his family receiving almost 300k in benefits to: Let me see.
1.) Parking outside a recruits window, calling him, and waiving at him?
2.) Overspending like $3.95 on the room charge limit, cause some kid wanted to play video games and charged them?
Most of this stuff was Colorado's accounting fault. That's why those penalties never followed RN to Washington.
Thirdly, how long do I think it will be before RN attracts the NCAA's interest? Ummmmmm. Not long. I think he's had their interest since he took those 4 million dollars from them. Those kind of numbers seem to speak loudly.
Funny thing is, the same people who root for PUSC seem to be the same ones with Raiders stickers on their SUVs. HAHAHAHAHA. Don't lie Mike, you're a Raider fan huh? And, you still can't ovet the fact that they left and so you root for SUC.
Sound about right? HAHAHAHA
Hey Faithful:
You sure do have a lot to say, but the scoreboard says it all.
Actually, I was a Rams fan until Georgia moved the team. I did enjoy Marcus Allen as a Raider though, before Davis botched that situation.
We don't know if the ax will fall on USC as a result of the Reggie Bush situation. The main accuser is a convicted felon. No doubt Bush taking money was terribly wrong, but the issue is whether USC knew or should have known. In an analogous case, Michigan did not get hammered for Charles Woodson's transgressions.
As for BB, it is sweet to win in Pauley for the very reason that fUCLA does so well in defending home court. Too bad Wooden missed it. Maybe he knew what was coming. I have no doubt that the bRuins will go far in the tournament, but still fall short. Since Howland arrived, fUCLA has returned to national prominence. I can't wait for the rematch at Galen Center (and 3rd meeting at Staples Center?).
As for the FB future, your two coordinators have a desire to be a head coach. How long before they leave? Is this a brief window of opportunity with this coaching staff? Also, I wonder how long Slick Rick will stick around. I know its his alma mater, so he could stay a long time. I guess we'll never know if he interviews for the SF 49ers' job, eh?
By the way, the answer to your BB question is Pink Floyd, right? ;-)
uscmike:
WOW. Well, it sure doesn't look good for USC with regards to Bush. The main accusers also claim to have taped conversations with Bush, step Pappa Bush, and Chetey Petey. During one of the conversations he told Petey about the house rental situation, to which Pete replied "Well, just make sure all the papers are in order and that you have rental agreements in place." C'mon, you're not dumb enough to believe Pete didn't know anything. The clothes, the car, the first class plane tickets and hotel rooms. Where did Pete think they came from? Santa Claus? HAHAHAHA. Bush's step dad is a janitor. Bottom line is, Reggie Bush was ineligible when he played in those games because of improper benefits rules and USC should therefore forfeit any games he played in. What about Matt Leinert's Dad paying for Steve Smith's rent? What about the Joe Mcknight situation, where he clearly admits on TAPE that Chetey Petey conferenced him in with Reggie Bush? There are just too many infractions to list. There should be no see, hear, or speak no evil claim here. This is clearly an institutional control issue. If I know about this stuff, you don't think the administration does? What has USC done? NOTHING. This goes much deeper than Bush.
You can't hide behind the cloak of ignorance. What in your opinion should happen to USC if all these allegations are proven and USC knew about it? I don't have faith in the NCAA. You guys consistently get away with murder. It's not right.
I can't wait for Galen Center either. Staples match up would be nice too. I actually know Tim Floyd. I always root for Pac-10 and wish you had won more, except against us.
With regards to coordinators wanting to be HC, everybody wants to be HC or CEO. But, not everybody can. I think DW will leave. RN might. I don't think Chow would leave at his age and situation. However, success has a funny way of changing things. I think even if these guys decide to leave, after building the foundation, we will be ok. Look at Ben Howland's staff, he's already lost 3 top assistants, but we keep winning. SC too. Losing coordinators can be a good thing. It says your winning and your people are good.
