What does Pete Carroll's meeting with the Washington Redskins mean?
He's interested in the NFL as long as he doesn't have to admit it Nothing! He will be at USC forever. He's giving Rick Neuheisel lots of ammo for recruits. Put Jeff Fisher on Heritage Hall speed dial Next up, Al Davis!

Just a personal opinion, but I think Pete Carroll has found his niche as a prominant college football coach. The NFL is a pressure cooker where you're only as good as your last game. I think PC will be around a long time because he realizes he can be one of the all-time great college coaches. More important is the fact he is having FUN on the USC sidelines. Who, in their right mind, would want to leave a fun job for a stress mill in the NFL ?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
