Plain and simple, you are an idiot.
this is exactly what i laugh about. people who can't even throw a football acting like they know what they are talking about when they talk sports.
that's why i don't put a whole lot of weight over some of these polls. when you have someone like Scott voting, how much credibility does it really have?
Wow. Just wow. LSU would handle Georgia. But I respect the message and agree with what I interpret it to be!
USC doesn't deserve to win a national championship this year. Neither does Georgia, LSU, or anyone else, because it's impossible to know without playing the game on the field. It's another bad ending to what could have been a great college football season. Here's an F-U to the Big Ten, the Pac-10, the Rose Bowl and all other parties that are depriving college football of its true potential. The sport is corrupt.
I am kind of curious about your bottom 5, especially the following schools:
Utah - Finishes 9-4, with a loss to Oregon State.
Boise State - Finishes 10-3, with losses to Hawaii and the worst PAC 10 school UDUB.
Tulsa - who did they beat?
Scott, seriously, where is the love for the PAC 10 schools? Just two in your final rankings?
Don't get Georgia over SC. Not unreasonable,.... just not certain Hawaii prevails over Illinois on a nuetral.
I'm fine with putting USC third. Losing two games this season against inferior opponents? Lucky to be No. 3 as things turn out, and as a Trojan, I am still proud of the team and its strong finish under trying circumstances.
However, why have a BCS "Championship" Game if you are going to vote LSU below Georgia when all is said and done? I don't understand that line of thinking. LSU may not be the best team in the country, but according to the formula, they deserve to be ranked No. 1.
Until there is a playoff on the field, you need to follow the script as it currently is written. Otherwise, why have rules at all?
HOW DO YOU DO?
Wolfie, I have lost all respect for you: you seem to have some deep-seated hatred / bias against USC. Why?
You rank 4-loss Illinois ahead of 1-loss Hawaii, BUT then you jump both LSU and USC with Georgia and make them #1 when they played a worse team than USC in the BCS. Huh??
Your logic escapes me.
You are weird!
Wolfie,
One MORE thing: Georgia did NOT even win its own
confderence championship, YET you rank them #1, over USC, who beat a better BCS team than Georgia did.
Wolfie,
One MORE thing: Georgia did NOT even win its own
conference championship, YET you rank them #1, over USC, who beat a better BCS team than Georgia did.

Many could justify the shuffling of the top 3 in any sequence and not be totally out of line. However, to not include Oregon at all is not fair as they did dismantle a South Florida team in the Sun Bowl that at one point in the season was around #2, and did it without Dixon!
Scott, this just proves why I don't put much stock into polls.
To put Georgia #1? Are you insane? They didn't even win the SEC. And OU #12? Sure they loss to West Virginia, but to be ranked behind Missouri, who they beat twice, Texas, who they beat and Kansas, who they didn't play, nor did they win the Northern Division.
The polls are a who has had the best Bowl game or last few games, its a review of a teams whole body of work. To give USC #3 I feel is generous by the voters...I felt they were a bottom Top 10 team after their loss to Stanford (unforgivable).
To all those USC fans that think injuries are the plague of this season...wrong! We have second, third, and even fourth string guys who would start at most other programs...I feel the lull in the middle of the season was mainly coaching and the players not stepping up.
Of course, none of this matters until we have a 8 or 16 team playoff, like the rest of the sports in college.
I'm always defending you Scott, but Tulsa?!
Here's what's wrong with listing Georgia #1. Do you like the idea of a playoff? Well, Georgia participated in a Conference "playoff" ... and couldn't win it. So they should be considered National Champs??
