USC Vs. Ohio State

Illinois players were asked who would win between the Trojans and Buckeyes.
``Both,'' safety Kevin Mitchell said.
Tailback Rashard Mendenhall added, ``Games aren't played on paper. Teams match up differently against each other. They're both great teams. We really couldn't answer. That's something you're going to have to go out there and see.''
Mitchell did add, ``the difference between the games is we're able to make turnovers when we needed to and today we didn't get it done.''

The Trojans are going to crush an over-rated Ohio State team. The “Fighting Illini” there’s a contradiction in terms, easily defeated the Buckeyes. USC beat Illinois like a stepchild. The game was a yawner. Bottom line: The Trojans are going to crush Ohio State. Joe McKnight is the next Reggie Bush. I wish Ray would stick around for one more season, imagine the horror in USC opponents, looking across at the USC defense and seeing Ray staring back at them. GO TROJANS!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
