Rivals.com reports that linebacker Chris Metcalf of Compton High School committed to USC. He attended last weekend's Junior Day at USC and was enthusiastic about the Trojans during his visit. He is the ninth commitment for 2009.

But Metcalf projects as a safety. And, with McDonald Jr. signed for 2009, the much needed restocking of our DBs looks good! Now, to the more important restocking at LB, supposedly Marquis Simmons is a super-stud, and Vontaze Burfict is leaning USC, so hopefully we can pull together an LB and DB class in 2009 rivaling the D-line class of 2008. Great work, PC, Seto, Norton and staff! The recruiting game is changing, and we are adjusting to it just fine, thank you!
