Former USC cornerback Justin Wyatt was a candidate to become the graduate-assistant secondary coach. It makes sense because Wyatt was extremely popular with his teammates and would make an excellent coach.
However, he was not interested.
My next Forum question was going to be about how open Pete Carroll was to bringing back former players as staff (perhaps Matt Grootegoed when Ken Norton Jr. moves on/up?).
I'm guessing that maybe Wyatt is holding out hope that he will eventually find his way into the NFL. If he doesn't and it would be nice if he did, hopefully he hasn't burned any bridges with USC.
