So Ricky must have offered him a chance in a pool. "IT WAS JUST A NEIGHBORHOOD POOL" cried the Nue-weasel". Fight On!

DFWTrojan said:

Stick it, Neu-weasel! Can't wait to watch Armstead go through the Baby Bluins O-line like a hot knife through warm butter in a few years. If they don't hurry up and recruit some O-linemen, then warm butter may be less permeable than the Bruins' line. Hey Neu-weasel, Norm's spread offense isn't going to work very well without some blockers up front!!! I can't wait to kick your ass year after year on the LA basin tundra! I plan to clean up that week in my office pool!

He would be nuts if he DIDN'T try and make a run at such a talented DT. He was only hired a month ago and every coach in his position, no matter what school they're hired at, wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't do the same.

Calm down and enjoy your stud DT for 3 or 4 years.

Locoweed said:

The Weasel of Westwood had a nice first quarter, but Pete Carroll has made the necessary adjustments. Armstead is no fool, he knows his class of stud linemen will rule the trenches. Next year’s class will be full of playmakers and probably a top three.

Carroll swooped in on Kavienga and UCLA isnt moaning about. chill out.

Nice to see the ucla faithful dropping in with their 2-cents worth. Why not?-- It's a free country, except on their site where I have been censored by that old censor himself, Brian Dohn. I think I will take our acerbic Scott Wolf, warts and all.

But I wish the name-calling, ucla chastising Pete Carroll, of all people, and now the Trojan nation putting the rub on ucla's new coach. Neuheisel, as I recall, won a multi-millionaire dollar award for wrongful termination stemming from his office pool betting. Give the guy a break, Trojans, he's not a serial killer. Let's rise above ucla's level.

DFW, first you can try to stick it. Just wait till bushgate hits you right in the smacker then we'll see what you have to say. You'll lose your only BCS National Title, Pac10 Titles, a few scholarships, TV time, etc. Now do you see the big picture? It's just a matter of time until the hammer drops on you guys.

tick, tick, tick, tick,kaboommmmmmmmmmmmm!!

I agree with Lawyer John. The guy turned a couple hundred in a betting pool into several million. Who among us would pass up those odds?

Truth on Uona Kaveinga is that he would be a Bruin today if UCLA wanted him back.

USC is a great football program. But for this kid, it appears that USC became a fall back choice.

DFWTrojan said:

Actually, Uona K was a back-up recruit for USC. We didn't get interested in him until it became obvious that we would not land Robinson, Brown, or Beal. And, Harris was a less than 50% shot. Then, we went out and recruited Uona hard, and he quickly chose to drop UCLA like yesterday's news. If you saw his FSN announcement, his family wanted BYU because of religion, but he said that USC's football tradition made it a no-brainer. UCLA wasn't even in the top 2 for him after PC decided we wanted him. Which is typical, why would you play JC football if you could go to the most elite football program in college football history? Pistol Pete and the War Dogs!

The reason why Dohn censored you (Lawyer John) was because you came in there and started attacking posters just to muck up the blog. I certainly don't agree w/ some of the postings on this blog, but I'm not going to start F usc this F usc that. I wouldn't go to your home and empty out my trash can on your lawn.

This is not to vindicate Neu, but rather to educate some on Neu's past 'errors'. A couple of University officials told Neu he could participate in the NCAA pool. Then they turned around and fire him for it? That's why he won the wrongful termination lawsuit. It's like punishing Mayo for the bad info Floyd gave him (Clipper tixs). Now being told that, if you're still going to jump on him for it, so be it.

Keepin' it clean...

Oops. Sorry for the multiple entries.

By the way Lawyer John, class move (except for the last sentence...theres bad apples on both sides):

"But I wish the name-calling, ucla chastising Pete Carroll, of all people, and now the Trojan nation putting the rub on ucla's new coach. LAWYER JOHN said:

For the record, Bruin_Bry, I don't use bad terms. I was censored because I wrote an open letter to Knox, giving him reasons for choosing ND over ucla. Oh, and my conclusion that if I had been the ucla basketball coach and had had Alcindor and Walton, then I would have been known as the 'Wizard of Westwood,' instead of that referee-baiting old fraud, Wooden-- that is what got me kicked off.

I purposely kept pushing the envelope until the inevitable occurred. It had stopped being fun at the ucla-site, sports fans are so thin-skinned.

Does anyone else note the irony of a journalist like Dohn censoring public comments? Unbelievable.

As for Neuheisal, he admittedly lied to the UW athletic director about not having any interest in the SF 49ers' job. He also initially attempted to cover up his involvement with the office pool. He was fired for such cover-ups. (Harrick did the same thing while at UCLA - covering up a minor infraction relating to free meals - and was fired for it.) In the annals of history, it is often the cover-up that leads to the greatest punishment, not the act itself that was covered-up (e.g., Watergate, Monica Lewinsky, etc.)

The fact that Neuhisal turned his termination into a multi-million dollar recovery is merely reflective of his outstanding legal education at the USC School of Law!

Any Bruin-Bly, by saying "I'm not going to start [ F usc this F usc that....," you are, um, saying it. ;-) Oh, the irony of it all.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
