With UCLA hiring a secondary coach, it means former USC assistant Demetrice Martin will stay at UTEP, which is probably a good thing for the Trojans. Martin was well-liked by USC players and would be a tough recruiter to go against in Southern California.
USC probably got lucky he is staying in El Paso.
UCLA can still say hello to him when their best seasons culminate in a Sun Bowl appearance.
