Of course there had to drama at the USC-Coliseum press conference. A private-equity firm showed up unannounced and said it wanted to invest $800 million into the Coliseum, but did not want USC to retain the right to quash any deal that might be struck with the NFL. The commission was not pleased.
Where were these guys before?
What was the name of the private equity firm? New Era Equity?
Anyone have any idea what their real motive was?
I hear the equity firm's bodyguard flashed a gun.
