More answers.

Q: What is Pete Carroll's mood today? "Pumped", "Jacked" or "Psyched"
A: Definitely ``pumped.'' Or maybe ``jacked.'' No, ``psyched.''

Q: Is there a chance O.J. Mayo will stay for another year? Where is he on the NBA scouting radar at the moment?
A: No. He's still considered a top 10 pick, the UCLA game notwithstanding.

Q: Who are the players most likely to transfer? Bradford? Corp? Gable?
A: None says they are. It might be too late for Bradford but Corp is the youngest, so maybe he'd be the best candidate.

Q: Any word on when season tickets go on sale for the upcoming football season?
A: Soon. Very soon.

Q: The football team seems to continually maintain an attitude of "team first" in spite of the large number of highly regarded recruits all fighting for playing time. How does the coaching staff accomplish this?
A: There's so much depth and closely regarded players that if anyone gets too big of an ego, they can usually be replaced. USC managed without a two-time All-American at offensive tackle (Sam Baker, who has no ego, by the way) and also survived nicely without Keith Rivers, so no one is irreplaceable. Except Caesar.

Q: Will "Mitch and Me" have an animated spinoff like "The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang"? Any additional characters for the spinoff the way Mr. Cool was a talking dog on the Fonz cartoon?
A: Hmmm. Interesting. There's talk of maybe having a ``Mitch and the Internet Gang'' cartoon, but the animators are not sure even they can properly depict these ``characters.''

Q: Do you think Gerald Washington and Trey Henderson will be able to hold off any of the incomeing freshmen DEs on the depth chart?
A: It will be difficult because there will be competition and I'm starting to sense a need to play Nick Perry about the powers that be, similar to last year's desire to play Everson Griffen off the bat.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
