Round 5
Another round of answers, brought to you by The Inner Game of Tennis, which gave me the mental edge to answer some of these questions.
Q: I'm thinking that college football is the next steroid-scandal-waiting-to-happen. The linemen, in particular, are gigantic now compared to a decade or so ago. In-coming freshman are often as big now as NFL linemen used to be. I realize, training and nutrition are better than they used to be and that probably accounts for some of it. However, the "juice" so available now and enforcement is sporadic at best. I doubt all of these elephant-sized players are really clean. What's your take on this Scott?
A: Ironically, the players I've found out were on steroids while I covered USC were wide receivers and cornerbacks, not linemen. But I'm not naive. I'm sure there are players on every team who experiment with something.
Q: Who do you feel will be the starting TE next year for the Trojans?
A: Anthony McCoy should start but I think Blake Ayles will play an important role.
Q: How do you think the alumni will react to Traddies being temporarily closed this next football season due to the Student Center being remodeled? More 9-0 time?
A: There might be on-campus protests for the first time since the 70's. I think the Thursday night crowd will go wild when this becomes common knowledge.
