Q: How is Lane Kiffin viewed by former players? I am curious to understand where Leinart, Bush, White stood on the Chow vs. Kiffen deal? Also - have former players commented on the direction of the SC program post Chow/Orgeron?

A: It would be easy to say the players did not like Kiffin, but over the years some did like him. When he took over for Norm Chow, Matt Leinart said he liked Kiffin's ``enthusiasm'' which many interpreted as saying he had more than Chow, which wasn't not exactly a shocking statement.
There was a famous incident a few years ago when a very well-known player threatened Kiffin to a fight but I think Kiffin's relationship with the players improved once he took over as offensive coordinator.
But everyone's been pretty respectful about it all the past couple years.
