The attorney for Lloyd Lake said he is waiting for Reggie Bush to provide documents proving he paid for that much-discussed Chevy Impala and a $3,000 per month condo on Wilshire Blvd. The attorney, Brian Watkins, said Bush cannot provide documents because Lake paid for the car and condo.

If Lloyd paid for the car, why doesn't he have the receipts? Huh, Brian?

Um, maybe because Lake paid cash to Bush, who then allegedly purchased the car and the condo.

Well if nobody needs reciepts, I think I'll go down and say I bought the car for Reggie and I want my money back.

This Bush thing needs to end. Reporters like Wolfie are getting all their so-called "facts" from the underbelly attorney for a convicted felon. To print what he says without reaction from Bush's side certainly looks incriminating, but it also is unfair to Bush. Undoubtedly, something untoward happened here. However, we're not talking about a capital crime here. Both sides need to negotiate an out-of-court settlement. Bush should do it to save face and save his stepfather from any further embarrassment. He should also do it for USC and its alumni and fans who have supported him over the years. Lake should do it for the dough; I'm sure he can use a wad of cash to finance whatever other devious schemes that he and his posse of thugs can come up with. These are the type of gangstas that hang around the playgrounds offering dope to little kids; Reggie, be done with them, and they will get their due rewards elsewhere - this fight is just not worth it.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
