A couple weeks ago, Tim Floyd said again that USC would be his last job because of speculation he would be offered the LSU job. He will have to say it again today after the Tigers fired John Brady.

Not so fast, my friend. I just looked it up, and Floyd is paid $620k/yr, while Brady was ONLY paid $300k/yr at LSU. $300k with a final four appearance 2 years ago??? Come on, bayou pussycats! No wonder LSU will never be able to sustain a dynasty in any sport. I just don't see Floyd leaving the incredible opportunity he is experiencing in LA to go to the backwoods of the bayou, even if he has ties to the area.

This is the problem with Trojan sports, only when we win does anyone pay attention. Does anyone have the story during the hiring of Floyd? HE STILL OWNS A HOUSE IN BATON ROUGE. The Baton Rouge Advocate hints that the Virginia Commonwealth coach is the man LSU wants, regardless Floyd's availability.
And why the name calling? Give them their due, you sound envious when degrading monikers are hung on foes. SC is a NATIONAL school, I learned this upon moving into Big Ten country. Why are we concerned about a Southern school, unless YOU have bought into THEIR mindset?
If Tim Floyd is offered the job and does bolt, Mike Montgomery is twiddling his thumbs in the Bay Area. Floyd's never hit the top rungs, Montgomery has. It looks like a fair trade.
I asked an SEC fan at work about the pecking order of sports in those schools. LSU is one of the schools where baseball and track are higher priority sports, thus explaining the low salary for Brady. I think they have more than enough coin pay for a name coach.

Tim Floyd is doing a great job at SC. Give him some time. SC would be a title contender this year if Young had not bolted. Troy's starting five can play with anybody, but they cannot win a title without a backup big man.
