Answer Sunday!

Every question will be answered today.

Q: Which fans are bigger bandwagon/homers: Angel fans or USC fans?

A: Every successful team has bandwagon fans. I remember covering all those games in the Hackett era when 50,000 showed up. But let's be honest, there's no group of Johnny-come-latelys who root for a team in Southern California like around USC. Everywhere you go, people wear USC shirts these days. The same is not said for the Angels. I might change my mind when Mike Scioscia starts selling sweatshirts with his name on them and ``Win Forever'' on the back.

Q: During the past few months, I have had quite a few people affiliated with USC, including some within the university itself, tell me that there was far more to Mark Sanchez's arrest for rape than was ever made public. Since they all seem to say the same thing and tell the same story, independent of each other, I have a question for you. Obviously you do not have to get specific, since I realize this is a public forum, so a simple yes or no will suffice -- are you aware that there was far more to Mark Sanchez's rape case than was ever reported by the media?

A: There is always far more to any case of this nature than is reported. From my memory, there was a lot of stuff regarding the alleged victim that could not be reported though I have a feeling this is not what you are referring to.

Q: Do you think Josh Pinkard will petition NCAA for a 6th year of eligibility and come back in 2009? Since he lost 2 seasons due to injury he can do that. What about Byers who is in a similar situation? I realize their decision will depend to what happens in 2008 (how well they play & their NFL prospects). But what is your prediction?

A: I think Pinkard will try to go pro if he has a good season and is injury free. After two injuries, he might not want to risk another college season if he doesn't have to. Byers says he would like to play a sixth year and I think he will, unless he's convinced he will be a high draft pick.

Have you ever had any problems with Arbo? It seems that your colleague has no use for the man, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Two questions:

What are your thoughts on the Bush situation and if you think the university knew of any of his rules violations while he was still playing here?

Second question is in regards to James Wilson transferring from UF. Do you know any details about this and if it has anything to do with his initial interest to play for USC?

Is anybody fooled by the bias of questions on the blog?

"I have had quite a few people affiliated with USC, including some within the university itself, tell me that there was far more to Mark Sanchez's arrest for rape than was ever made public."

Could you be more Bull Sh*t? Next time just ask "I hate USC and Sanchez must be guilty USC got him off right?

Scott must love this stuff, BTW I do remember the Paul Hackett years just don't remember Scott Wolf. Maybe USC fans are not the only ones who should be thanking Pete?

I think it's time for people to let the Mark Sanchez talk end before it turns into a Duke Lacrosse type witch hunt.

The Seattle Times series showed us that years after an alleged rape occurred involving a Washington football player, new evidence was presented that was not made public previously. It is fair to bring up Mark Sanchez's arrest for the rape of a USC student, especially since neither the LA County DA's Office nor the LAPD never actually cleared him of the accusations, but stated that there was actually evidence against him, but not "sufficient enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt" to guarantee prosecution.

There is far more to Sanchez's rape allegations than the average person has ever heard. Accountability should never be brushed aside.

If Sanchez is guilty than they shouldn't just take his scholarship, they should lock him up and take his freedom. If Pete Carroll or anyone in the program helped cover it up then they should be prosecuted accordingly.

I'm just saying that in my opinion your question seemed a bit vague and too open for interpretation. If there's a statement or piece of evidence that you want to confirm exists and want to expose to the public ask in the next forum. As far as I've been reading this board I've never seen Wolf completely avoid a question, you may be surprised what he's willing to discuss.

Of course there were not any bandwagon UCLA fans during their 8 year streak against USC. Everyone wore blue during the latter half of that streak, even I bet, some who are now wearing Cardinal.
