Q: Do you think Garrett Green will be getting more playing time this year?
A: I actually thought he would play this season after a strong training camp at wide receiver, but then things quickly went status quo once the season started. It's sometimes mystifying how a player can disappear after training camp, even after they perform well. I'd like to think Green will play, but right now there's not much to base it on.

Q: I can't find all of the combine stats for the USC players. I know that not all of them participated in all the drills, but can you give is a summary on how each one of them did in all the drills that they participated in? You already gave us their real heights as opposed to what was listed in the USC press releases. That was pretty interesting.
A: Check out NFL.com or NFLdraftscout.com for combine info.

Q: I have read where you and several other reporters have said that Mitch Mustain has a very accurate arm, but is that not more to do with the ability to read defenses rather than accuracy itself? After all, aren't all QBs at the Division I level fairly accurate if they are simply throwing to someone without a defensive line standing between them and attempting to run into them with the intention of sacking them? Booty had an accurate arm but occasionally had passes tipped, perhaps because he was not tall enough. Sanchez may have a strong arm but is notorious for not being able to read defenses in any way, so he has earned a reputation for being a "turnover machine." So does praise for Mustain's throwing accuracy have more to do with his ability to read defenses better than the average QB rather than a mere case of being able to throw to the intended receiver?

A: You'd be surprised how common a QB misses a receiver in drills even when there is no line. Booty's accuracy on deep balls was suspect and that had nothing to do with tipped passes. I wouldn't say Mark Sanchez cannot read defenses. When he's had problems, it's often been from forcing passes or trying to do too much. Mustain's accuracy includes having a nice touch, which Matt Leinart also had, such as putting the ball right in a receiver's hands in the corner of the end zone. That's different than reading a defense. But he's also shown he can do that too.
