What is your problem with Coach Carroll?
Every big name coach in the country attends these kinds of events. It's understood to be a part of their contract and the supplemental cash is what allows them to be paid what they are worth while simultaneously allowing the boosters to feel sufficiently self-important?
Pete is already the most accessible college football coach (maybe of all time) in the country (Hell, he allows you hang around the program doesn't he?) yet you constantly take jabs at him and the way he does his business. I really don't get it. Give the guy a break already.
All proceeds from this go to the Mario Danelo scholarship fund. Coach Carroll and Warren Benis (co-speakers)are doing this gratis, I would guess. The facilities and food costs involved are being paid by Ron Lane, a Trustee who is hosting the event. Therefore, 100% of the fees should go to the scholarship fund. Call the athletic department to see if there are still any spots open if you are interested.
